What We Do
Foodwings is a holistic approach based on agricultural inputs, digital tools and innovation,
including
drone technology. Aimed to lift farmers’ skills, increase their yields and generate enough
profits to become
bankable, disrupting the poverty chain and allowing farmers to invest in their family’s
education and health.
Bayer has launched FoodWings as an agricultural, multi-partner business venture, currently
piloted in Ghana before scaling it to other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The initial
focus is on maize, a
key staple crop severely affected by a new insect such as Fall Army Worm, with devasting
impacts on yields and local communities.
